No. Most of our courses start from absolute-beginner level, covering fundamentals before progressing to advanced technique. Our admissions team places you at the right starting level after a short assessment call.
It varies by course: keyboard and piano welcome students from age 6, most vocal and string courses from age 8, and guitar/drums typically from age 10. Adult learners of any age are welcome across all courses.
We offer both formats for most courses. Online classes are live (not pre-recorded), one-on-one or small group, and include practice tracking. Campus classes are available in select cities, with the option to switch formats as your schedule changes.
Most students reach a comfortable performance level (a short recital piece) within 6-9 months of consistent weekly practice. Full course tracks run 6-12 months and are designed for steady, structured progress rather than a fixed finish line.
Yes, every course includes a complimentary trial class so you can meet your instructor and confirm the fit before enrolling.
Yes. Students who complete a full course track and final recital assessment receive a Raga Roots Music Academy certificate indicating their achieved level.
